We received the sad news that on Good Friday, 3 April 2026, Dr. Günter Frank passed away in Erfurt at the age of 69.
Günter Frank served as director of the Melanchthon House in Bretten for 25 years and was the coordinator for Refo500 Germany from 2010 to 2018. He was co-editor of the Refo500 Academic Studies series and was involved in many activities within REFORC as both a participant and an organizer.
In recognition of his scholarly contributions and his consistently friendly and collegial attitude, a conference was organized in Bretten in 2024 to mark his retirement.
In Dr. Frank, we have lost a dear friend and a great scholar of early modern philosophy and theology.
The memorial service and funeral will take place on Tuesday, April 14, in Erfurt.
