A detailed travel companion on art monuments in Poland with historical background information.
Following the successful pilot project on Silesia, with which the tradition-steeped series established by Georg Dehio dedicated itself for the first time to the art monuments in Poland today, the next three-volume edition is now being published. It includes the historical region of “Lesser Poland” in southeastern Poland, with the areas around Krakow, Kielce / Sandomierz, Lublin, and Przemyśl / Rzeszów.
The useful travel companion provides detailed information on all the important monuments of this fascinating region, with a look at German-Polish history. The accompanying texts, which present the development of the region from the Middle Ages to the present, are supplemented by an index of artists, city maps, layouts and numerous overview maps.
Series: Dehio – Handbuch der Kunstdenkmäler in Polen
