The Calvin Studies Society (CSS) invites proposals for short, twenty-minute paper presentations for its biennial colloquium to be held in Birmingham, AL from 19-21 March 2026. The conference theme is “Calvin and Creation”.
The conference is co-hosted by Beeson Divinity School and Birmingham Theological Seminary.
Plenary papers will be presented by Steven Tyra (Midway Independent School District), Andrea Mosterman (University of New Orleans), Angela Carpenter (Hope College), Brad S. Gregory (Notre Dame), and Mickey L. Mattox (Hillsdale College). The colloquium website will be updated with speaker bios and registration links in the coming months.
This colloquium will also include short-paper sessions in addition to the usual plenary sessions. Papers related to the conference theme “Calvin and Creation” are most welcome, though papers dealing more broadly with Calvin studies will be considered. Please submit abstracts of no more than 300 words to kyle.dieleman@dordt.edu by 1 September 2025. Selected papers will be notified by 1 October 2025, upon which registration for the conference will be required.
