Martin Luther und die Wittenberger Konkordie (1536)

09 July 2021

The name »Wittenberg Concord« designates the attempt to achieve an inner-Protestant agreement about the doctrine of the Lord’s Supper and several other disputed questions. Henning Reinhardt studies how Luther’s relationship to this attempt at reaching an agreement should be seen.

The author looks at Luther’s contribution, his understanding of the Concord, his self-interpretation in the process of the dispute and the importance he attached to the Concord.
