The Testimony of True Faith. Studies on the Development of the Concept of Protestant Truth Witnesses from the Contexts of the Wittenberg Reformation from Luther to Flacius, by Stefan Michels.
The concept of the Protestant truth witnesses is one of the central legitimation strategies of the Wittenberg Reformation in its theological-historical derivation. Stefan Michels shows that it proves to be a historiographical concept with ecclesiological origins and extends the ranks of Wittenberg’s truth-tellers throughout church history, back to the beginnings of the time of the apostles around Jesus Christ, the teacher of truth and only head of the church.
