Volume 100 in the R5AS Series Has Arrived!

31 October 2023

General editor Herman Selderhuis on R5AS volume 100: “It is in fact natural that this jubilee-volume deals with Luther and the effects of his Reformation on daily life, for without Luther there would be no R5AS.”

Series

“It feels quite recent that Jörg Persch and I planned this series,  but since this is volume 100 it must have been some time ago, and it is since the first volume came out in 2011.

Still, that within 12 years one hundred volumes were published indicates the success of this series, and that success is due to the authors and their fascinating topics, to the very cooperative publisher Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, and to an effective editorial board.

R5AS has become synonymous with high-quality academic books on a great variety of themes and disciplines related to Early Modern Christianity. It is a series offering a platform for young as well as established researchers presenting to a global audience the results of the latest research.

Volume 100

It is in fact natural that this jubilee-volume edited by Nina J. Koefoed and Bo Kristian Holm deals with Luther and the effects of his Reformation on daily life, for without Luther there would be no R5AS. Volume 100 is a moment to pause, and subsequently speedily move on to  volume 101 and following, for there is still so much in this fascinating field of Early Modern Christianity to be discovered by researchers and shared through books.”
