BY PLANE

BY TRAIN

Wroclaw is accessible by international train connections from Berlin, Dresden, Frankfurt (Oder), Prague, and Vienna. For schedules and availability, go here and here.

BY BUS

Wrocław offers numerous direct international bus connections (among others):

GETTING AROUND

 

ARRIVAL FROM THE AIRPORT (Wroclaw Airport, Graniczna Street 190, 54-530 Wroclaw)

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Take bus 106, which stops in front of the terminal on your right as you exit the building. It departs about four times per hour and goes to the Main Railway Station (Dworzec Główny). Get off at Renoma. The ticket costs 4.60 PLN (c. 1.10 EUR) and the journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Tickets are available from machines on the bus/tram (card payment only). Tickets can only be purchased with cash at ticket machines located at some stops.

Timetable

From there take tram 7 (direction: Poświętne), ride 5 stops and get off at Ossolineum (Uniwersytecka). The main building of the University is approximately 200 m to the west.

BY TAXI

Standard taxi fare from the airport to the city centre: approx. 75–90 PLN (c. 17–21 EUR);  night rides (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM): approx. 130 PLN (c. 30 EUR) to the city centre;  Ridesharing (Bolt/Uber): approx. 40–55 PLN (c. 9–13 EUR).

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Option 1. After leaving the railway station on the northern side, turn left and walk to the nearby tram stop called Dworzec Główny (Main Railway Station). Take tram 8 (direction: Karłowice) or 9 (direction: Sępolno), ride 3 stops and get off at Hala Targowa (Market Hall). The main building of the university is approximately 450 m to the west.

Option 2. After leaving the railway station on the northern side, turn left and walk west along Piłsudskiego Street for about 200 meters until you reach the Arkady-Capitol stop. Take tram 7 (direction: Poświętne), ride 6 stops and get off at Ossolineum (Uniwersytecka). The main building of the university is approximately 200 m to the west.

BY TAXI

Standard taxi fare from the bus and train station to Uniwersytecki Square (plac Uniwersytecki) costs: approx. 20–30 PLN (c. 5–7 EUR).
