Sunshine! After some dark and rainy days, the last day of the REFORC conference started with clear skies and bright sun, which made the Great Beguinage in Leuven even more beautiful to walk through.
But walking through was only for after a full morning with short papers, presentations of (Post)Doctoral Work by Maria Nørby Pedersen (Taking Care of the Poor through Poor Relief Legislation in Early Modern Denmark) and Shiri Roelofs (The Late Scholastic Institution of a Contractus Sui Generis: Robert Bellarmine’s (1542-1621) Definition of the Exchange Contract).
The final plenary was by Wim Decock (UCLouvain) who dealt with The Unfinished Max Weber: Retrieving the Soul of Economic Entrepreneurship in the Low Countries, a topic that perfectly rounded of the theme of the plenaries for this year.
Closing this wonderful and inspiring conference was not really hard to do, as most participants already look forward to the next one to be held in Palermo, Sicily, May 14th-16th 2024.
Gianmarco Braghi (Fscire), who is responsible for that conference, received in these days all information and inspiration on how to organize a good REFORC conference, for the Leuven team did a great job. Thanks to them!
And to all: arrivederci in Palermo!
